About Rev. Kay

Hello and welcome to United  Hearts Ceremonies.

I am an ordained interfaith minister and graduate of The New Seminary for Interfaith Studies and a licensed wedding officiant.  I am also a cleric and minister of OUnI (Order of Universal Interfaith) and member of Community of the Mystic Heart.  I strive to meet all people where they are in order to be of the utmost service, whatever that may entail.

A little about my background. I am a licensed speech-language pathologist and certified teacher of special education.  I have worked in a variety of settings and with children from birth to age 21 and with a variety of disabilities.  Currently, I am in a Jr./Sr. HIgh School in a very diversely populated city.

I am involved in my local Hospice as a visitor for those receiving Hospice services, sitting vigils and working with children in our Wave Riders Support Group program for bereaved children.  Additionally I work with the Red Cross Disaster Services.

Currently, I am completing an advanced program of study in dying, death and bereavement and am certified in thanatology: death, dying and bereavement.

I love working with all people, wherever they are and whatever the need.  I especially like co-creating rituals and ceremonies for all life events and supporting those going through the dying process, death and beyond.

I am energetic, creative, enthusiastic and dedicated to all I serve and in all I do.  I have walked many paths, with many different groups of people and continue to do so, thereby expanding my understanding of all.

As an ordained interfaith minister, I am able to meet each person where they are. I  believe that there are as many paths to the Divine or a Higher Power of each of our understanding as there are individuals, as well as, paths centered on other beliefs such as nature.  I aim to walk with love, compassion, understanding, joy, adventure and without harming.

I look forward to hearing from, listening to and working with you.  Please feel free to contact me with questions, needs and suggestions.

With love and blessings to you,

Rev. Lisa Jo Kay
